a more nimble internationalized company
Save Time, Reduce Risks, Lower Costs
too
Welcome
to the Premiere issue of Lingoport's WorldReady Newsletter
on all things related to Internationalization (i18n).
The fundamental reason why we do what we do, always centers
around working with our customers to make them more nimble
in their global business pursuits. This newsletter will
serve as a vehicle to assist our customers and contacts
in being a world-ready company.
We
help our clients' products easily adapt to looking and
working like their customers will expect them to, no matter
where in the world those end-customers may be. It’s
all about growing customers worldwide, in the face of
budget constraints, requirements and deadlines. We need
to keep in mind that the goal is having a great product
that customers anywhere will want to buy, and buy again,
and in turn recommend to their associates. Getting i18n
right and speeding it up sure beats long delays and frustration,
as yet again you can’t figure out what’s messing
up your character encoding, or some other such problem.
In
this issue, we are proud to announce the release of Globalyzer
2.3. We also offer an article on extracting strings
using Globalyzer (amusingly called Sucking Strings
From Software), an Exclusive Globalyzer Offer,
and a complimentary white paper to help you communicate
with your CFO regarding budgets called Globalization
ROI.
Enjoy your premier issue. If you need to change the email address this was delivered
to or if you wish to unsubscribe, you can do so at the bottom of this email.
Please, let us know what information would be helpful to you in future newsletter.
The plan is to start out with the basics and get increasingly technical. You
can email us anytime at info@lingoport.com or
call us 1.303.444.8020. I’m at extension 703.
Best regards,

The Plunger Button
It’s a point of cavalier pride that we
figure Globalyzer is the only commercial software that features
a toilet plunger in its interface. Obviously that flies in
the face of internationalization (i18n) convention regarding
use of culturally sensitive images in software. But if you’ve
ever had to find and externalize strings without Globalyzer,
you understand the metaphor pretty quickly.
Finding and externalizing strings in large amounts of code
without Globalyzer is repetitive, tedious, error-prone and
really not very fun at all. It can cause a serious distraction
from other product critical feature development and bog teams
down.
Find out how our
plunger sucks strings from your software code in a matter of hours...
